All students are expected to be in attendance each day unless they are ill.  Please remember a written note from the parent/guardian  or doctor explaining the absence is required within three days after a student has been absent. If no note is presented within that time, the absence will be unexcused. A two week prior approval request must be submitted to the principal for any student to be considered for an excused absence due to an educational trip. We realize that there will be instances when your child may be tardy, but please avoid this whenever possible.  Tardiness interrupts your child's instructional time.

The instructional day is from 8:15 am to 2:55 pm.  Students should not arrive before 7:45 each morning. Teachers will be in their classrooms by 7:45 and a bell will be rung at that time for students to go to their room or to breakfast.  Students arriving before that time will not be adequately supervised. 

Special Note:

1.   Any student arriving after 8:15 am must be accompanied to the main office by an adult, preferably a parent or legal guardian.

2.   Students who are picked up prior to 2:45 pm will be considered an early dismissal and dealt with accor ding to the Tardy/Early Leave Policy adopted by Harnett County Schools.
