The Boone Trail Ruritan Club was chartered on June 27, 1950 and launched its first fair that year. The fair has been held every year except for two. The club uses the money raised from the Fair each year to help our community and school. The Ruritans help with Test Jam in the school and other special projects. They sponsor local Boy Scout Troops, Little League Programs and other needs in the community from building wheelchair ramps to providing financial support. The Fair is a great opportunity to teach our students about civic duties, responsibility and teamwork. They see first hand what great things can be accomplished when we all work together. Students also spend time with positive adult role models that day. The Boone Trail community and Boone Trail School are very proud of the Fair, but most importantly, we are proud of the community spirit it embodies. |
