The Aliens Take Over Boone Trail Elementary School Did the aliens take over Boone Trail Elementary School? Well on January 26th 2012 Boone Trail Elementary School had a 3-5 Literacy Night to remind kids that reading is out of this world. This was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Boone Trail Gymnasium. The theme for the 3-5 Literacy Night was space. Lots of people came and they had lots of fun! They had activities for the kids to do. Like making there own unique constellations. Two people from the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science came and showed the kids many constellations like the big dipper. They brought a blow up dome that the kids could go into to look at the stars. For snacks the kids could have Capri-suns and Moon Pies! They raffled off door prizes for the kids. A bunch of them were space books. We all hope that this event helped kids remember that reading is out of this world. |
