Mrs. Griffin: I was born in Montgomery, Alabama where I was raised until I was 11 when my family moved to North Carolina. I went to Barton College in Wilson, NC and graduated in 2003 with a B.S. in Elementary Education.

After graduation, I moved to Harnett County and began teaching 2nd grade at LaFayette in August of 2003.  My dog, Sampson, and I make our home in Erwin. Sampson is a very playful and energetic 4 year-old Mixed Breed. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and Sampson. Sampson loves to go to Raven Rock and go hiking, splash in the creeks, and sniff the various forms of wildlife. I like to watch movies, read, participate in church activities and spend time outdoors. On October 21, 2012 I married a wonderful man named Ben Griffin and he works for the Department of Transportation. He also has a dog, Ace, who Sampson is happy to have joining the family also.  

Teaching is something I think that I always knew I would enjoy doing. I love working with the children and helping them discover all that life has to offer once they learn something new. It is a joy to hear a child say that they like coming to school and are excited to be here. Thank you for entrusting me with your children and their futures. And thank you for all that you do to help!
