A blog is an innovative technology tool. It is a type of website in which individuals can post regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Teachers may use this blog to share instructional strategies or ideas with one another. Feel free to create an original comment or comment on someone else's thread.

How can collaborative tools such as wikis, blogs, and Google Docs be integrated within the school setting?
As the school translator I could share school wide translations so all teachers could have access to them at all times.
I could post information related to RtI updates, deadlines, and meeting schedules for the teachers to see. It would be a simple way to get the info. to all teachers quickly.
Social Workers need a method to communicate with large groups of teacher especially on the subject of attendance. There have been many questions this school year on the new absence policy and blogs would be an excellent method of communication.
These tools provide an easy way for busy educators to communicate quickly among grade-levels/special areas; from planning, scheduling events, workshops, sharing ideas and even covering duty stations-these tools make it simple! I especially like the idea of students using blogs to encourage writing/technology skills . . . We should start 'Blog-Buddies' for our tech-savvy kids as a means to mentor/encourage one another.
I could post my monthly caseload numbers for the lead SLP and EC Director. I could post my academic and functional impact forms for teachers to download. The EC Team could post monthly scheduled IEP meetings so that our LEA's will not have to deal with each teacher scheduling IEP conferences individually.
Our county ESL meetings are usually filled with lots of info and so we can't have time to share ideas or strategies. Blog talk would be great for us to share idea and get something out there quickly for our ESL family! It would be so much easier to communicate if everyone would get on board!
