Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are pleased to inform you of your child’s participation in VmathLive®, an online math program designed to strengthen your child’s skills and understanding of math. VmathLive offers interactive and motivating math activities to give your child the opportunity to practice and apply essential math concepts and skills needed for success in math.

VmathLive is a component of the Vmath® and TransMath intervention curricula, or it can be used as a supplement to the math program being taught in your child’s class. It can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection at school, at home, at the library, or in any after-school setting.

This letter introduces the benefits of VmathLive and encourages parents and guardians to take an active role in their child’s math progress. First, encourage your child to use VmathLive at least three times per week and balance the time between—Learn and Play. Also help direct your child toward activities that challenge, rather than those that seem easy. Throughout, celebrate your child’s success. Log in with your child to see how many activities they have completed and their awards and achievements and to encourage them to play the math games.

Included with this letter is the Quick Reference for Parents to show you how to access VmathLive. Your child’s login is provided and will take you to their home page for VmathLive. From there, you can monitor your child’s progress and participation and view online reports that chronicle your child’s success.

Join your child online in VmathLive and share the rewards. Not only will you be involved in your child’s math development, but you will have a chance to watch his or her math skills soar.

Sincerely,

©  2012  Cambium.
