2012 - 2013 Theme:  "Play That Game"

The Theme, “Play that Game,” provides students the opportunity to write about
games that matter to them, in different genres and for a wide audience.

BCES will once again participate in the North Carolina Reading Association's Young Author Project. 
Last year BCES had six winners at the state level! These authors were published in the Local Harnett County Reading Council's Young Author Book and in the North Carolina Reading Association's 
State Young Author Book (copies available in the BCES Media Center) and attended
the local and State Young Authors' Celebrations!

The number of student entries BCES is allowed to submit at the local level
(Harnett County Reading Council) depends on the number of HCRC/NCRA members
BCES has by November.  Local Young Author winners advance to the
North Carolina State Reading Association Young Author judging.
School staff, parents, relatives and friends are allowed to become members
in order to support this wonderful project.
