SCHOOL AWARDS PROGRAM

We are committed to excellence in education here at North Harnett Primary and are proud of the teamwork shared among our teachers and students, and the successes with student learning and educational opportunities.

Here is a list of our Recognition Awards for each nine week period honoring North Harnett's Best Bullpups!

Bonafide Award
This award is given to one boy and one girl from each class that has earned the highest honor in "BARKing".  Students receiving this award go above and beyond when it comes to using B.A.R.K. manners.

Bookworm Award
This award is given to two children in each classroom that have read and recorded the most books on their reading logs for the grading period.  Students are allowed to record all books they read or are read to them.

Bullpup Bus Citizen
Two students from each bus are recognized for following all bus rules and displaying exceptional B.A.R.K. manners. 

Math Champ (2nd, 3rd, and 4th nine weeks only)

One student from each classroom is recognized for exceptional growth in math from one grading period to the next grading period. (2nd, 3rd, and 4th 9 weeks grading periods only)

Math Wiz
One student from each class is recognized for outstanding math abilitiy. 

Perfect Attendance
Students who are present everyday of the grading period will be recognized. 

Principal's Pride Award
This award is given to two students from each class who exhibit excellent citizenship and leadership qualities while serving as a good role model for fellow students.

Rotary Reader Award
One student from each class is recognized for exhibiting exceptional interest in or making outstanding achievements in reading during this grading period.

Terrific Kid Award
One student from each class is recognized for exhibiting responsible behavior and academic achievement to the best of his/her ability. This award recognizes student performance which is not reflected on the report card. It also recognizes positive attitude and encourages self-discipline.

Wonderful Writer
One student from each class is recognized for outstanding writing ability.

Other Special Awards:
These include Art, Box Tops, Character Kid, Computer Wiz, Media, Music, and P.E..
