The HCMS PTG strives to enable our students to achieve the highest advantages possible, scholastically,mentally, and socially.

In addition, the HCMS PTG strives to assist parents by helping you stay informed and involved in the many events happening at HCMS.

• PTG contributes financially to after-school academic activities and competitions, such as Jr. Beta Club, Battle of the Books, History Bowl, Math Counts, and Math and Science Olympiad
• PTG assists with the end of the year "Test Jam"
• PTG recognizes outstanding students and teachers
• PTG helps meet other school needs, such as the Student Agendas, purchase of classroom supplies, landscaping, and technology needs. During the 2012 - 2013 school year, the PTG plans to focus on raising money to purchase permanent shade structures for the front of the school.
• Your annual PTG membership (at $5.00 per school year) ensures that you will be emailed updates regarding school information, information about volunteering at the school, and ways to participate in PTG sponsored events.

PTG Planning meetings are scheduled the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in the office conference meeting room.  These are a great opportunity for parents to be involved in the planning of upcoming PTG sponsored events.  These meetings are also a great opportunity to stay informed about other various school happenings and events as they provide a means to ask questions in a relaxed open environment. All parents are invited to attend any PTG meeting.

PTG General Meetings are usually held in conjunction with other school wide events such as the Fall Dance, as part of the Science Fair, Spring Academic awards, etc.  The primary purpose of these is to give a quick update of PTG events, then provide speakers or other programs covering topics relative to our school or children.

Spirit Night

Spirit night at McDonald's in Lillington.  You can participate by dining in or going through the drive through.  Remember, McDonald's contributes a portion of all proceeds with NO coupon required.  Dates to be announced.

Together In Education Program

HCMS participates in the Harris Teeter "Together In Education"  program.  This program allows the school to receive 2% of Harris Teeter labeled products that customers purchase.  

All you have to do is give our School's account number during check-out.  Once the account number is linked, every time you shop during the program, 2% of their Private Label purchases will be contributed by Harris Teeter to the school's account.

IMPORTANT Box Top Information!!!

The collection of Box Tops for Education continues.  Turn your box tops into the Media Center ASAP.  This is an easy way to earn money for our school.  We all shop for groceries.  Turn those shopping trips into easy cash for HCMS.  Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products in almost every aisle of the store.  All you need to do is clip and send them in with your student.  Each box top is worth .10 for our school.

For bringing in 10 Box Tops students will receive a homework pass. 

Collection boxes are located at the front entrance, media center, and cafeteria.
