It is with enthusiasm and excitement that I celebrate the accomplishments of our young men and women this month. We strive each and every day to meet the needs of all students at STAR Academy. Thank you very much for your support!
STAR DAY - CELEBRATION OF OUR STUDENTS
STAR Day took place on Friday May 9th, 2014. We celebrated the accomplishments of our students at a special awards ceremony. After the awards were presented, our students enjoyed a DAY with STARS that included food, fun, and games. See pictures from STAR Day in the Stargazing (see left) section of our webpage.
STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Students from the STAR Academy Student Advisory Council travelled to Campbell University to volunteer for the Special Olympics. Every student involved expressed how grateful they were for the opportunity to help out these extraordinary athletes. Special thanks to SAC Advisor Mr. T.J. Carver for providing this opportunity! Way to go SAC!
GENTLEMEN'S & LADIES CLUBS - STARS IN THE MAKING
The Peters Group Gentlemen's and Ladies Clubs are finishing a great year of making a difference at STAR Academy. Under the guidance of Mrs. Ayonna Barnes and Mr. Jermaine White, our young men and women are improving their self-awareness in order to compete successfully in the real world. Awesome work GC/LC!
