Frances Wortman McDonald

Serving Harnett County Schools for more than half my life – I’ve seen many changes along the way.  People change, curriculum changes, and teaching strategies and materials change.  One thing that has never and will never change is the fact that we are responsible for educating our county’s children in a manner that will enable them to be productive citizens who are competitive in the workforce.

It takes all stakeholders – school staff, parents, members of the community – to adequately prepare every child for his or her future.  We must be willing and able to have important conversations; asking the right questions and learning more about the ways of life of all people in order to live and grow together.  Though it may not always be easy, we must all commit to making a difference for our children, so they can make a difference for our world.

Please know that my door is always open, and that I welcome the opportunity to meet with our parents to discuss how we may better meet your child’s needs at Gentry Primary School.
