Please see the EOG Math Review tab to the left for examples of what students must know for the EOG next week.

Welcome to Mrs. Lee's  Classroom Connection

Harnett County Schools wants every student to be college and career ready by the time he/she graduates from high school. Beginning this year, the curriculum (what we want students to know and be able to do) is changing in every elementary school classroom. The North Carolina Standard Course of Study is being replaced with new standards (Common Core State Standards or Essential Standards). As in real life, these standards ask students to use their literacy (reading and writing) skills and math skills throughout their school day. The standards are also more rigorous — asking our students to become problem-solvers and independent thinkers in order to be better prepared for their future.

Remember that students have to read 30 minutes then respond about the reading in their reading log. This should be written in paragraph form. Make sure your child writes the date, book title, and number of minutes read. Some students like to read longer than 30 minutes.

If you would like to reach me via email, please click on the contact form in the left-hand corner of this web page. It will allow you to send an email.  I will respond in whatever way is convenient for you.
