The instrumental music department at HCHS is the direction of Mr. Jonathan Barbour. Open since 1977, the school begins it's 35th year of serving the students and community of Harnett County. The HCHS instrumental music department is comprised of a wide-variety of students who have developed musical, visual, and performance skills through their participation in the many opportunities provided them by the school. The band competes at many local and regional competitions, providing many outlets for our children. It is our goal to provide children with an educational environment that develops them musically, enhance their visual ability, and prepare them for the 21st century work force through experiences and real-life lessons learned through our program. When you first go to goodsearch, under the search bar there will be a link where you can find the group you are supporting. Make sure to find the "Harnett Central Band Boosters". Select us, and then search and you make money for the band, just doing what you already do!!! |
