Ms. Miranda Simmons
Greetings and Welcome to my class!!
I am very delighted to be your child's teacher this year and I look forward to working with your child to help them achieve academic excellence. My name is Miranda Simmons. I was born and raised in Harnett County so I am a country girl at heart. I graduated Cum Laude from Fayetteville State University (Bronco Pride), with a Bachelor of Science degree and I am currently in the process of pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education. This is my second year at Wayne Avenue Elementary School and I truly love what I do! I reside in Lillington, NC. I have an amazing set of parents and godparents, 1 sister, 1 brother; both are teachers; 2 godsisters and 1 astonishing niece, who is my "mini BFF" and is the apple of my eye.
When I am not teaching at Wayne Avenue Elementary; I teach children in China, English online, teach Sunday School at my church, work on the Social Media Ministry and I serve as the Secretary for a nonprofit organization called "Pretty In Pink Ministry," who assists individuals diagnosed with cancer. During my downtime, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my amazing family and friends.
As your child's teacher, I pledge to create a positive and constructive educational environment and I am dedicated to their academic excellence. I have an "open-door policy" so please feel free to ask questions and voice any concerns. I can be reached via email or call the school. I look forward to teaching your child and thanks in advance for your help!
