** 3/14/20:  Scholastic is providing a free resource during the current school closures.  Go to www.scholastic.com/learnathome.  There are activities provided for daily topics - fiction book, nonfiction book, video on the topic, and an activity.  Your user name will be Learning20 and the password is Clifford.  I highly recommend this resource!!

** 3/17/20:  Jaime White from Play to Learn Preschool is doing a daily (M - F) "Virtual Preschool" from 11:00-11:30am on Facebook Live.  Just search for Play to Learn Preschool on Facebook each day at 11am.  I just watched Day 1, and it was wonderful!  She also provides printable resources.  If you aren't able to watch at 11am, you can watch later in the day.  A replay will be available on the Play to Learn Preschool Facebook page. I highly recommend this resource!

**3/22/20:  I have set up a ClassDojo class for students and parents.  I sent out invitations to join on Friday night.  Please join so we can be connected!  Nine parents have joined so far, but I would love to have 100% participation.  If you did not receive the invitation, please email me (bsmith7@harnett.k12.nc.us) and give me your current mobile phone number.  ClassDojo offers:  Messaging - we can communicate back and forth; Class Story - I can send videos and files to you; Portfolio - students can send pictures to me (with parental help).  If the school closure continues past this week, I will begin uploading personal videos for the children to watch on Monday, March 30th.  I think this tool will be great!

**3/22/20:  The Cincinnati Zoo is doing a Home Safari during the zoo's current closure.  They provide a video that highlights a zoo animal and an activity that you can do from home.   cincinnatizoo.org/home-safari-resources/

**3/23/20:  I have created an account in Epic!  Epic! is a digital library for kids with unlimited access to 35,000 children's books.  Our class code is say8839.  It will be free to parents until June 30th with a teacher's invitation.  If you are interested, please send me your email address.  I have to enter it to be able to send an invitation.  My email address is bsmith7@harnett.k12.nc.us
