School Improvement Plans

School improvement planning is a continuous, data-driven process that guides schools in identifying priorities, setting goals, and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes. It serves as a framework for focused decision-making and coordinated action among school leaders, teachers, families, and community stakeholders.

Each school develops a School Improvement Plan (SIP) based on a comprehensive analysis of student performance, school climate, instructional practices, and stakeholder input. These plans outline targeted goals, measurable objectives, and action steps designed to strengthen teaching and learning.

In accordance with North Carolina General Statutes and federal requirements, School Improvement Plans are reviewed and approved by the local board of education and are updated regularly to reflect progress and evolving needs. Plans remain active for up to two years and may be revised as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
