Public Information Office
The Public Information Office responds to requests for information and serves as the primary point of contact between Harnett County Schools, the news media, and the community. The office is responsible for sharing district news and information, promoting the achievements of students and staff, supporting community engagement, and providing resources related to facility rentals, volunteer opportunities, and community partnerships.

Our Responsibilities
- Communicate district news, events, and important updates
- Serve as the district’s primary media contact and spokesperson
- Coordinate media releases and communications with local newspapers, television, radio, and digital news outlets
- Manage district marketing, publicity, publications, and branding efforts
- Highlight and celebrate the accomplishments of students, teachers, staff, and schools
- Provide information and assistance to parents, families, and community members
- Coordinate facility rental requests
- Support and manage district volunteer opportunities
- Build and strengthen relationships with businesses, community organizations, and stakeholders
- Develop and support community partnerships that enhance educational opportunities for students
Facility Rentals
Harnett County Schools makes select facilities available for community use when they are not needed for school-related activities. Community organizations, nonprofits, and other approved groups may request the use of school facilities in accordance with Board policies and procedures.
