    The Patrick Jefferson Dennis Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship is a $1000 scholarship awarded to a HC senior who is planning to attend a 4-year college or university, who excelled in one or more varsity sports, who has maintained at least a 3.0 GPA, and who is a US citizen.     The State Employees Credit Union People Helping People Scholarship - One senior from HCHS will receive this $10,000 scholarship. To be eligible, you or your parent/guardian must be a member of the State Employees Credit Union (does not include Local Government Federal Credit Union or NC Press Association Credit Union). Preference will be given to students whose parents or guardians and family members are public sector employees who live and work in NC. Those applying must be accepted to and planning to attend one of the 16 campus of the University of NC System. Applicants must be a US citizen and eligible for in-state tuition. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA and be eligible for financial aid. Applicants must demonstrate leadership, community service, excellance of character, and integrity. An interview with a HCHS scholarship committee is required.     The Patricia Tew Coats Memorial Scholarship - This $500 scholarship is awarded to an outstanding senior based on the candidate's character, scholastic records, evidence of intellectual promise, demonstration of ambition, and need for financial assistance.     Harnett County Association of Educational Office Professionals Scholarship - One senior from a Harnett County High School will receive this $500 scholarship. Appliants must be attending a university or community college following high school. Completed applications are due to Ms Stewart by April 24, 2019.  HCAEOP Scholarship Application

     

    Hal Bradley Scholarship - One senior from HCHS will be awarded this $1000 scholarship named in honor of Coach Hal Bradley. Applicants must be planning to attend a 4-year college, must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, must be a citizen of the US, and must be a Harnett County resident for at least 3 yrs. School and community activities will be taken into consideration. Also, students who have played a varsity sport(s) throughout high school will be considered first.     Angier Masonic Lodge Scholarship - $1000 scholarship awarded to a member of the HC senior class. Decisions are based on the applicant's academics, financial need, and civic involvement.     Janice Scott Memorial Scholarship - Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must be planning to attend a 4-year university. Applicants must have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in school and community activities. The combined adjusted income of the applicant's parent(s) can't exceed $50,000.     Delta Sigma Theta Sorority (Clinton Alumnae Chapter) Scholarship - This scholarship is available for seniors planning to further their education at a 4-year college/university. Applicants are responsible for mailing in their completed applications by February 28, 2019.     Harnett County Home Builders Association Scholarship - The first preference for the scholarships will be to students of Harnett County Home Builders Association members and/or students pursuing a career in a construction related field (drafting, engineering, carpentry, electrical, etc). However, ALL students entering their freshman year at a 4-year college or community college are eligible for these scholarships depending on the number of applications received. There will be 3 $1000 scholarships. Applicants are responsible for mailing their completed application in by March 29, 2019.     Earl Stephenson Scholarship - The applicant must be a dependent of an active duty, retired, or deceased fire fighter or be planning to pursue a major in fire science. Applicants must have at least a "C" average and be planning to attend a 4-year college or community college. One qualifying student from HCHS will be awarded this $500 scholarship.     Golden Leaf Scholarships - The Golden Leaf Scholarship Program provide scholarships for Harnett County seniors who plan to attend a 4-year university and scholarships for those planning to attend a 2-year community college. Seniors applying must be a resident of Harnett County and demonstrate financial need. Seniors applying for the 4-year college/university scholarship must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The 4-year college/university scholarship is $3000 a year for 4 years. The 2-year community college scholarship is $750 a semester. Deadline for the 4-year college/university scholarship is  March 1, 2019. Deadline for the 2-year community college scholarship is March 15, 2019. To apply for the 4-year university scholarship, visit CFNC.org/goldenleaf. To apply for the 2-year community college scholarship, visit the website of the community college you are planning to attend.

     

    The Sandra Beasley Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship is a $500 scholarship awarded to a HC senior who is planning to attend a 4-year college or community college, who has excelled in at least 2 business classes, and who has maintained at least a 2.5 GPA.     Harnett County Business Education Partnership Scholarship - $500. One student from HCHS will receive this scholarship. Requirements: work a part-time job, minimum GPA of 3.0, must be accepted to a college or university, 2 letters of recommendation, copy of transcript.     NC Child Support Council Scholarship - The scholarship is available for NC seniors whose parent receives child support or whose parent is a member of the child support council. Applicants are responsible for mailing the completed application. The address is included on the application.     UNC Light on the Hill Society Scholarship - 10 scholarships available to UNC-Chapel Hill for 1st year African American students. To apply visit alumni.unc.edu/loth Application deadline is March 3, 2019

    Sandhills PRIDE Scholarship - PRIDE Application Application must be mailed by March 8, 2019.

     

    Expired-University of North Carolina Morehead Cain Scholarship - HC will nominate 3 seniors to compete for the Morehead Cain Scholarship. Complete an application and return it to Ms Stewart in guidance by Sept. 14 (the deadline has been extended). Those who turn in an application will be called for a private interview by the scholarship committee. The Morehead Cain is a full tuition scholarship and is one of the most prestigious scholaships in the country.     Expired-North Carolina State University Park Scholarship - HC will nominate 2 seniors for the Park Scholarship. Complete an application and return it to Ms Stewart in guidance by Sept. 14 (the deadline has been extended). Those who turn in an application will be called for a private interview by the scholarship committee.The Park Scholarship is a full tuition scholarship.     Expired-NCSU Goodnight Scholars - The Goodnight Scholars program was created to assist middle and low income students in North Carolina who are interested in a career in a STEM related field. For information and to complete the application, visit www.goonight.ncsu.edu. Deadline: Dec. 1, 2018

    Expired-UNCC Levine Scholars Program - This scholarship is a full tuition scholarship to UNC- Charlotte. If you are interested in this scholarship, please see Ms Stewart in guidance by Sept. 28, 2018.

    Lenior Rhyne University Teaching Scholars - This scholarship ($5500 per year) is available for seniors who are interested in attending Lenior Rhyne University and pursuing a major in education. Apply at: edu.lr.edu/teachingscholars 

    Teaching Fellows Scholarships - If you are interested in entering the field of education, look at the following schools who now offer the Teaching Fellows Scholarship: UNCG, Elon University, Meredith College, UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, and UNC Charlotte. The Teaching Fellows Scholarship is a full tuition scholarship contingent on an agreement that the receiving student agrees to teach for 4 yrs following college. You must apply early admission. 

    Expired: The NC Hispanic College Fund and The NC Society of Hispanic Professionals Scholarships - Visit the folowing websites for information and applications: www.thencnshp.org and www.thenchsp.org  Scholarships range from $500 to $2500. Those applying for either scholarship must be planning to attend a 2-4 year college. Application deadlines are Jan. 15, 2019.

    Expired: Farm City Week Scholarship - This scholarship is available to seniors who are interested in pursuing a degree or career in agriculture. Pick up an application from Ms Stewart in the guidance office. The student is responsible for mailing the completed application by Nov. 7th.
