Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Trudy-Ann Elliott
Hi, I’m Ms. Elliott from the sunny island ‘Jamaica’! Yea mon! :) I enjoy taking beach trips, spending time with families and friends, visiting new cities, watching movies, listening to music and reading.
I’ve been teaching for 11 extraordinary years. My personal goal for my class is to challenge my students and watch them grow to their fullest potential. Additionally, my aim is to assist my students in developing the skills they need to be lifelong learners as they grow to be the leaders of tomorrow.
I love to see the curiosity of children and to provide opportunities for their confidence to grow as they explore our world. It is a pleasure to encourage them to ask questions and to open their eyes to learning opportunities.
As an educator, I am guided by the words of Benjamin Franklin which states “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involves me and I learn”.
I am a strong advocate of hands-on, inquiry-based learning. I like involving my students in a variety of problem-solving, critical thinking and technology-infused activities that provide them with the opportunities to learn by doing.
I’m delighted to be a part of such a positive and caring team here at Johnsonville. The school’s strong values radiate throughout. #JES rocks#
