Hello!!! I am Maurice L McDougald, the Senior Army Instructor for the outstanding HCHS Army JROTC "Trojan" Battalion. I was commissioned as an Army Officer after completing SROTC through the "Fighting Camel" Campbell University Battalion. Prior to commissioning, I served as a 19 Delta Calvary Scout Soldier - scout for life. Past assignments included tours with the 4/67 Armor Battalion, 83rd Chemical Battalion, 1/1st Calvary Regiment, 25th Chemical Company, 513th Military Intelligence, and the 525th Military Intelligence. I also served as the Chief, Training Division (NETCOM), Chief, Homeland Defense & Force Protection (ARCIC), Chief, Basic Officer Leader Course (IMT), CBRN Senior Officer w/SF identifier (10th Special Forces Group), Deputy Chief, CBRNE Division (ARCENT), and the Inspector General (USACC). Awards include the Kentucky Colonel recognition, one of the highest title of honor bestowed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Commissions for Kentucky colonels are given by the governor and the secretary of state to individuals in recognition of noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to a community, state or the nation. Education includes numerous military school certifications and diplomas, Bachelor of Science – Criminal Justice, Minor – Sociology, Minor – Pre-law; Master of Science – Human Services (executive leadership); PhD Student – Doctorate of Education in Counseling.
I have been the Senior Army Instructor for HCHS since March 2019. My goal is to prepare Cadet Students to suceed after secondary education.
