Mr. Daniel Hoover
Mr. Hoover is a certified instructor for the National Center for Construction Education and Research. He currenty teaches Core and Sustainable Construction and Electrical Trades. A former Civics teacher at Cape Fear High School in Cumberland County, he currently holds a Bachelor's degree in History with a Minor in Political Science. As an National Center for Construction Education and Research-certified instructor his students are able to earn industry credentials that are recognized nationwide. Students in the Core and Sustainable Construction course may earn a safety certification sponsored by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Mr. Hoover serves as an advisor for his content area's Career and Technical Student Organization, SkillsUSA. He has enjoyed the transition to CTE and is working hard to bridge the gap between the Academic and Technical areas of education, encouraging his students to pursue both as a path to a well-rounded education.
