Dr. Janet J. Doffermyre
Welcome to Dunn Middle School! I am extremely proud and honored to begin my fifth year as principal of our great school!
Greenwave Pride is at an all-time high! Our students continue to grow academically, and our proficiency levels continue to increase. We have in place a strong group of teachers, united with an amazing staff, all dedicated to the academic and social success of our students. Businesses and churches in our community have joined our team with many different levels of support. I am extremely excited and thankful for the support and encouragement as we are moving Dunn Middle School to new heights.
Our College and Career Ready Labs are in place and are ready for student use. Students will have access to 28 modules that will allow them to use real-life tools to explore careers in areas such as dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacology, sports medicine, medical imaging, biomedical engineering, structural engineering, robotics, graphic design, digital manufacturing, forensics, culinary arts, and so much more. We are proud to have one of the largest middle school labs east of the Mississippi River. As our students experience the lab modules, they will be able to answer the question, “How Am I Smart?” and will already have an idea about their desired career path upon entering high school. I am extremely excited about our labs, and I am deeply grateful to the citizens of Dunn for making this dream come true for our school.
The staff of Dunn Middle School is committed to ensuring that every child has access to effective instruction and assessments designed to meet individual learning needs and ensure academic success. Your support is vital to our school and to student success. Together, we must consistently communicate to students our expectations for higher levels of learning and good behavior as well as our belief that they can and will be successful.
It is my desire to increase family and community involvement with our school. We need your help and support as we strive to make this year the best year ever for the students of Dunn Middle School.
