Principal's Message

  • On behalf of the faculty and staff at Anderson Creek Primary School, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all students, parents, grandparents, family, friends and visitors. We want to thank our parents and families for entrusting your children with us each and every day.

At Anderson Creek Primary School we strive to work as partners “United As One,” to provide the best education for all children. Please know that I am highly accessible and available to assist you in meeting the needs of your child. As always, my door is open.

Our curriculum (what we want students to know and be able to do) standards are called the Common Core or Essential Standards, and are rigorous in reading, writing, and math. Our students will become problem-solvers and independent thinkers in order to be better prepared for their future. You may find additional information concerning Common Core Standards at: http://www.corestandards.org/read-the-standards.

Anderson Creek Primary School is a Leader in Me school, earning Lighthouse Status in 2014. This designation recognizes a school's leadership results and its impact on students, staff, parents and the community. There are currently 2,867 schools in the Leader in Me process worldwide, and only 310 have earned Lighthouse Status. The Leader in Me is more than a character education program, it teaches children how to develop leadership traits that will allow them to be 21st century learners and leaders. Our faculty and staff work daily to ensure that all students at Anderson Creek Primary are provided a safe, nurturing, challenging, cooperative and caring learning climate. I encourage our parents and families to join the home-school partnership and take an energetic role in the education of all our boys and girls as we meet the challenge of our 2016-2017 school-wide theme: "Loving. Learning. Leading."
