Principal's Message

  • On behalf of the faculty and staff at Anderson Creek Primary School, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all students, parents, grandparents, family, friends and visitors. We want to thank our parents and families for entrusting your children with us each and every day.

At Anderson Creek Primary School we strive to work as partners “United As One,” to provide the best education for all children. Please know that I am highly accessible and available to assist you in meeting the needs of your child. As always, my door is open.

Our curriculum (what we want students to know and be able to do) standards are called the Common Core or Essential Standards, and are rigorous in reading, writing, and math. Our students will become problem-solvers and independent thinkers in order to be better prepared for their future. You may find additional information concerning Common Core Standards at: http://www.corestandards.org/read-the-standards.

Anderson Creek Primary School is a Leader in Me school, earning Lighthouse Status in 2014. This designation recognizes a school's leadership results and its impact on students, staff, parents and the community. There are currently over 4,000 schools in the Leader in Me process worldwide, and only 524 have earned Lighthouse Status. The Leader in Me is more than a character education program, it teaches children how to develop leadership traits that will allow them to be 21st century learners and leaders. Our faculty and staff work daily to ensure that all students at Anderson Creek Primary are provided a safe, nurturing, challenging, cooperative and caring learning climate. I encourage our parents and families to join the home-school partnership and take an energetic role in the education of all our boys and girls as we meet the challenge of our 2019-2020 school-wide theme: "Building Leaders Together."

  • Assistant Principal's Message

Hello Anderson Creek Cubs! I am very excited to be starting my first year as the Assistant Principal at Anderson Creek Primary! It has been my pleasure to be part of the Anderson Creek School community for over 16 years. I previously served as a 2nd grade teacher at Anderson Creek Primary for two years.Prior to coming to Anderson Creek Primary to teach, I taught four years at South Harnett Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher and served ten years at Anderson Creek Primary as a teacher assistant and bus driver. I am looking forward to continuing to build on the relationships with students and families that I have been able to establish over the years.

Quality instruction is at the core of everything that I believe about education. I look forward to working with the school community to ensure that the needs of every student at Anderson Creek Primary are met this school year. I believe a strong home-school connection is the key to “Building Leaders Together.”

My educational experience includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. I graduated from Campbell University with a Master's Degree in School Administration in 2019.

I know that this is going to be a great year at Anderson Creek Primary!  If you need anything, I am always available.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
