Mrs. Nordia Thomas

I am very passionate about teaching! "Out of many one people", is the Motto of my beautiful island Jamaica! OES' theme this year "United by our differences" is parallel to Jamaica's motto. The black crayon used to paint the Jamaican flag represents me, gifted, talented, strong, unique and resilient. Like the different crayons in a box, the world needs our color, to make it a great place! This is my fourth year at OES and I am loving it! In December, Leo and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary! We are blessed with two smart, lovely kids. I teach each day, as if they are in my class. George Evan's, "Every child can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way," has guided my teaching style and methods over the years.  It is my delight to empower 3rd graders to become globally rounded future leaders! One of my favourite quotes by Verna Myers states: "Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance."
