Mrs. Lovina Goad
Hello! My name is Lovina Goad and this is my second year at Western Harnett High School teaching ninth and twelfth grade English, but this is my eleventh year of teaching. Due to my husband’s military orders, I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of places: Mt. Hebron High School in Howard County, Maryland; Harnett Central High School in Angier, North Carolina; Fort Walton Beach and Crestview High School in Okaloosa County, Florida; Gerstell Academy in Finksburg, Maryland; and Damascus High School in Montgomery County, Maryland.
I am originally from Hillsville, Virginia, and I completed my Bachelor and Master of Science in English degrees at Radford University. My husband is active duty with the Army at Fort Bragg, and we initially met as pen pals when I was in college. We have a handsome baby boy, Ryan, and we have two Australian shepherds, Zeke and Asher. For fun, I enjoy visiting the family farm in Southwestern Virginia, going fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay with my husband, and spending time with family and friends.
