Art, and my formal education in visual art, has literally taken me around the world. I have lived, and studied abroad a total of 3.5 years of my academic journey. I began teaching in 2009 here at Western after living in Estonia, where I also worked as a bronze foundry artist and technician, smelting bronze and making other artists' public monuments into permanent national icons. I returned to Europe in 2010 and resigned from WHHS, returned stateside to complete my masters in art education, and returned to public instruction in 2015. I have taught now for a total of 7 years and I look forward to many more years of it!
