ABOUT ME:

I grew up in Harnett County and graduated from Western Harnett High School.  My dad was in the Air Force stationed at Pope AF Base.  When my Dad retired he moved our family(myself and three sisters) to his(and my Mom's) hometown state of West Virginia.  I attended Shepherd University in the small town of Shepherdstown, WV(only about an hour from Washington, DC). I have a daughter and a sweetheart of a granddaughter.  Now I live in Sanford with the love of my life who was my bestfriend in high school.  I have been teaching pre-school, middle school, high school and college for the past 25 years.  My hobbies include crafting, thrifting, beaching, traveling, decorating, refurbishing and cooking.  Free time is spend exploring little towns for their resturants and secondhand shops. I love sports especially football-Steelers/WVU.  I am so excited to be back in North Carolina teaching in the county I grew up in. I have always felt that teaching is a work of heart.  Within my subject matter I teach life long learning skills.  I want my students to remember lessons we had throughout their life and use what they have learned in day to day tasks.
