BFA Art Education Level 1 Teaching License in Utah and North Carolina
Education/Experience: I attended Utah State University from 2014-2018 and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in addition to receiving my teaching credentials. I am experienced in Ceramics and Sculpture, but have been trained in Graphic Design, Photograpghy, Painting, & Drawing. I have been part of a team creating a functional snow sculpture in addition to two other installation art works.
I student taught at Durham School of the Arts during the Fall Semester of 2018.
About Me: My biggest achievement are having been married for 24 years to the same amazing woman. She followed me around the world as I served 12 years in the Army. My wife and I have traveled to over 20 countries and 48 out of 50 states. I left the army in 2014 due to back injury. While in college my wife and I adopted out two energetic children. My family and I love to travel and see history instead of just reading about it.
My intests and philosophy: I love woodworking and play a little guitar. My passion for art came from a desire to do something I felt very insecure about. When it comes to life and art, I believe two things, first is that everything is connected, and secondly that everyone can draw and learn to be good at it when they learn the principle that govern the tools and mediums used to create art.
