I am super excited to be the school counselor here at Star Academy.  Although I am new to Star this will be my third year as a school counselor - I worked in Moore County prior but persevered in coming home to Harnett County  I also did my school counseling internship here in Harnett County.  I have a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Georgia and taught middle school for a few years a long time ago. I also have my M.Ed in School Counseling that I earned from Liberty University, but I can't stop there as my current goals include being Nationally Certified, obtaining a Ph.D. at some point, and writing at least one book. My family consists of  3 kids, who all attend school in Harnett County (my oldest is a senior this year- I can’t believe it!), and lots of animals (many cats and a dog, who understandably thinks she is a cat). I am a homebody and I enjoy listening to music and creating things. I am looking so forward to getting to know all of you, and we will get through this rather unconventional time together.  We’ve got this!
