    Participants must have a current physical on file and be eligible to compete during the 2019-2020 season.

     Triton is coached by T. J. Morrison, a 1995 graduate of the school.  He is also a 1999 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  He is starting his 11th year as the Varsity Boys’ Basketball coach.  This is his 16th year as a head coach with a previous stint at Midway High School from 2003-2007.  This is his 20th year as a teacher in North Carolina.  He started his career at Smithfield-Selma High School from 1999-2003, where he coached jv basketball and assisted with the varsity program.

    Coach Morrison also serves on the advisory board and volunteers with the Dunn Police Athletic and Activities League (PAL).  Several of the Hawk players are members at PAL, help with tutoring, and are involved in Youth Leadership.  They play travel basketball with the Wildcats, coached by Lt. Rodney Rowland of the Dunn Police Department.

    While at UNCG, his coaching career started with coaching recreation teams at the Guilford College YMCA, then coaching with Guilford Middle School, and the Greensboro Gaters.

    Coach Morrison is originally from Dunn, NC and now resides in Coats, NC with his family.  His wife of 20 years is Jamie Morrison, a guidance counselor at Coats Elementary School.  His daughter Sydney, 16, is a Sophomore at Triton.  His son Carter, 11, is in the 5th grade at Coats Elementary School.  Carter enjoys attending practice when he can and sitting on the bench with the team.
