Registration Information
Applications open at 4:00 p.m. on the application date listed for each session.
- Space is limited. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a class reaches capacity, the application form will not accept responses.
- Age Requirement: Students must be 14½ years old before the first day of class.
- Program Fee: The cost is $60 per student. Payment must be received within three (3) days of the first day of class to secure the student's enrollment.
- NC DMV Work Zone Safety Course: Before participating in behind-the-wheel instruction, students must complete the North Carolina DMV Work Zone Safety Course and provide their certificate of completion to their classroom instructor.
- Behind-the-Wheel Training: After successfully completing the classroom portion, instructors have up to six (6) months to complete the required behind-the-wheel instruction with the student.
