Hi! My name is Ginny Brown Bowden and I am your Media Specialist and Instructional Technology Facilitator here at Lafayette Year-Round School. I have 34 years of experience in education and am a retired teacher with 28 years experience in the classroom and in Instructional Technology. I have taught 4th grade, 6th grade Language Arts and K-2 Technology.
I attended Peace College and Campbell University where I obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education K-6 and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education/Curriculum Specialist. I am Academically Gifted certified and also received my Instructional Technology certification from East Carolina University.
I am a proud native of Harnett County. Being a daughter of two former teachers, who both taught at the original Lafayette School, it is indeed a honor to return to education by teaching and serving in Harnett County's first year-round school.
