My name is Kristina Clarida, and I am blessed and excited to be starting my third year as the assistant principal at Lafayette Year-Round School. I grew up in Harnett County and I was raised in a home with two parents as educators and was taught the importance of getting a good education.
It is my desire to work with the principal, staff, community, parents, and students in providing a positive learning environment that fosters academic, social, emotional and physical growth. I firmly believe that all students can learn when we have high expectations of them and can excel when placed in a safe, caring and encouraging environment.
Being at LaFayette feels like working alongside family every day. We're a small school, and that close-knit environment has been a tremendous advantage for our families, staff, and students. Every teacher knows each student personally, and every adult in the building is committed to supporting their success.
Education
I graduated from Harnett Central High School from 2005 to 2009. I then went on to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from 2009 to 2013 where I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education. I received my master's in school administration from Campbell University.
Interests
My interests are spending time with my family, being active at my church, and cooking foods from different cultural backgrounds.
