Harnett County Schools was well-represented on Saturday, February 11 at the 2023 3-A North Carolina High School Swimming Championship in Cary.
Congratulations to our 3-A championship swim athletes!
Ayden Burckhardt - sophomore from Harnett Central High, qualified in the morning preliminaries for the afternoon consolation final and finished in 11th place in the state in the men's 100-yard backstroke event.
Ruby George - senior from Triton High School, qualified in the morning preliminary round for the afternoon consolation final in the women's 100-yard backstroke event. She also finished the day in 11th place in 3A final's competition.
Nolan Walker - freshman at Harnett Central High School, qualified in morning competition for the championship final round in both the 50-yard freestyle event and the 100-yard breaststroke event. After the afternoon championship rounds, Nolan placed 8th in the state for the freestyle and in 5th place for the breaststroke event.
