HCS First Spanish Spelling Bee

Dual language scholars from Angier Elementary, Boone Trail Elementary, Coats Elementary, Dunn Elementary and Highland Elementary schools competed in the first-ever Harnett County Schools Spanish Spelling Bee Contest was held at Angier Elementary School on Thursday, April 20th, 2023.

Ms. Carmen Rosado, Harnett County Schools Dual Language Lead, says that “this is a dream come true” for her and would like to thank everyone who made it a reality.

Mrs. Elizabeth Hodge was honored to host this inaugural event, and said “dual immersion is very important to me, it is also very special to me as a mother, because my son was one of the first students to participate in this program”.
