LISA WILLIAMS NAMED PRINCIPAL OF HARNETT COUNTY VIRTUAL ACADEMY

Congratulations Mrs. Lisa Williams, new principal of Harnett County Virtual Academy!

Lisa Williams is a career educator, serving 28 years in various roles at North Harnett Primary School. After graduating from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  She also received her Master of Education degree from Campbell University as well as a Master of School Administration degree from North Carolina State University. 

She began her teaching career at North Harnett Primary School as a first-grade teacher.  Mrs. Williams also taught third grade and served as the assistant principal before becoming principal at North Harnett Primary School.  She has dedicated her entire career in education to the families and staff at North Harnett Primary School. 

“While I will always cherish the memories of families and staff from North Harnett Primary School, I am excited to begin my new role as principal of the K-12 Harnett County Virtual Academy.”

The K-12 Harnett County Virtual Academy offers parents a choice in the learning environment that best meets their child’s educational needs.

“My vision is for our virtual academy to utilize technology as an accelerate to meet our students where they are in their learning journey and to support them along their journey through personalized instruction tailored to their learning styles and interests. The success of our virtual academy will be measured by the meaningful learning experiences and the people vital to them. Education is the key to a successful future and when combined with the limitless possibilities of technology, we can expand educational opportunities for all students.”
