JEFFERY BOOKER NAMED OHS PRINCIPAL

Congratulations Mr. Jeffery Booker, newly appointed principal of Overhills High School!

Jeffery Booker grew up in Dunn and graduated from Triton High School. He attended Pitt Community College and obtained an associate degree in business administration. He then attended Campbell University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in School Administration. A lifelong learner, he attended Appalachian State University to study District Leadership. He also has a certification in Data Analytics.

Mr. Booker began his career at Harnett County Schools as a custodian at Buies Creek Elementary. After 2 years, he became a teacher assistant and then a teacher at BCES. He was also an assistant principal at Harnett Central High School for 3 years. Mr. Booker now joins us from Achievement Charter Academy, where he served as testing coordinator.

His broad education and experience will greatly benefit the students and staff at Overhills High School.
