Billie Key and Kyleigh Patterson were both honored as WRAL’s Teacher of the Week!
Billie Key is a 3rd grade teacher at BES. She has been an educator with Harnett County Schools for over 50 years! She has always had a passion for learning, “I loved school, I loved my teachers, and I love learning” she exclaimed. It has been her life’s work to share the love of learning with her students. Ms. Key has always wanted to be a teacher since she was a little girl, “We would play school…and I knew I wanted to be a teacher, I can’t imagine doing anything else”.
Kyleigh Patterson is a 2nd grade teacher at BES. This is her 8th year as an educator. She says, “You have to make learning fun and the kids need to know that you care about them”. Her favorite part about being an educator is building meaningful relationships with her students.
We are so excited to see them both featured on WRAL Teacher of the Week!
