LEVEL UP WITH SCHOOL LUNCH: NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK

National School Lunch Week celebrates the National School Lunch Program and recognizes the importance of a healthy school lunch to student success both in and out of the classroom.

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential childcare institutions.

The program provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to nearly 30 million children each school day. The program was established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946, and has been serving communities for 77 years.

Harnett County Schools would like to take this opportunity to thank our Child Nutrition Team for all you do to help our students #LevelUpWithSchoolLunch
