Congratulations Mr. Pearson

LILLINGTON, NC –  Harnett County Schools announces Mr. Christopher Pearson as the new Director of Athletics and School Safety at Central Services beginning February 1, 2023.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina,  Chris Pearson is in his 22nd year serving the students of Harnett County Schools as a teacher, coach, and administrator. After spending time as a Middle and High school teacher and coach, he moved into administration in 2014. Over the past nine years, he has served as the Principal of Western Harnett High School from 2014-2018 before becoming the principal at Overhills High School.

Serving students and creating environments they can enjoy and thrive in has always been the priority for Mr. Pearson. Mr. Pearson earned his Bachelor's Degree from North Carolina State University and his Master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. His wife of 22 years, Kim, is also a Harnett County educator. They have two children, Isaiah and Lily, who attend Harnett County Schools.
