Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Delia Brannock

Hello Bulldog families,
My name is Delia Brannock and I am the English Fifth Grade Teacher for the Dual Language Program. I am originally from Venezuela, but North Carolina has become my second home.
Teaching is one of my passions, and I have been instructing students for 13 years. This will be my ninth year at AES and my fifth year teaching 5th grade.
As a bilingual educator, I like to instill the importance of learning a second language into my students. When students are able to understand the similarities and differences between the languages they know, they become more conscious of the multicultural diversity that is shown throughout the world. In a globalized world, speaking a second language is an important way to enhance future opportunities.
In my classroom, students will learn how to go beyond and how to be responsible for their own learning. My students will not only learn academic standards and intellectual competence. They will also learn how to develop and cultivate their social, emotional, and critical thinking skills.
I look forward to making our classroom a powerful community where learning happens in fun and exciting ways!
