Welcome to Third Grade!!
Here's a little about me...
This will be my tenth year teaching (all as a Benhaven Bulldog). I am married and have four children. I was born and raised in Virginia, but the military brought us to North Carolina 20 years ago and we never left. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I stayed at home with all of my kids until they started school and then I started teaching at Benhaven. I started out at Benhaven as a kindergarten teacher and then moved to third grade and have been here ever since. I love third grade because students are just starting to really mature and yet still have such a love of learning. I love engaging my students through games and collaborative activities and really try to incorporate a lot of fun into third grade learning.
When I'm not at school...
I love to work in my flower beds, curl up with a good book, bake, travel with my family (we love Lake Gaston and the mountains) and watch movies.

Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education from Radford University

Google Classroom is free web-based learning platform that we use in third through fifth grades.
In order to log-in, students will need to know their @harnettstudents.org email address and their Google Classroom Class code. Please contact your child's teacher if you need this information.
Parents/Guardians - you can also "connect" to your child's Google Classroom to monitor assignments. Again, please contact your child's teacher if you are interested in connecting.
