Hello!

My name is Brooke Chesnutt and this is my 7th year in education and my third year at Benhaven Elementary School. I have lived in North Carolina since 2018 with my 2 kids. My 14 year old son is in a freshman at the Harnett County Early College and my 11 year old daughter is in 6th grade. When I am not teaching I am usually at the baseball field, my son plays travel baseball.

I am originally from Texas (Go Cowboys) but spent most of my childhood in Albuquerque, NM where I graduated High School and attended the University of New Mexico. I love to travel, especially to visit family all over the country. A lot of my family is in St. Louis, MO (Go Cardinals) and I love going visit my aunts, uncles, and cousins. (I come from a very big family)

I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Communication, however, I was a stay at home mom when my kids were younger before they started school. When I went back to work, I started as a long term sub and fell in love with being in the classroom. I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Elementary Education and I don't regret it for a minute.
