My name is Lisa Cox. I am originally from North Carolina, and have lived here most of my life. I wouldn't want to call anywhere else home. I began my career in education 20 years ago and have taught between Wake and Harnett Counties. I have found Harnett County and Benhaven to be like home and I am very excited to once again be teaching Kindergarten. In addition to being a teacher, I am a mom and a grandmother of 4 and enjoy spending my free time with my family.

Important Information

  • If your child’s transportation is different than what it is on a normal day, please send a note.  This will need to be put in the  agenda.  If your child does not have a note, then they will be sent home the normal way.

  • If your child is absent, please send a note the next day.  I cannot excuse an absence until I have a note from you or a doctor.

  • Agendas are sent home every day and should be signed daily.  Weekly, I will also send a folder that contains work samples and any additional items. This is how we communicate, so please make it a priority to check daily!

  • Dojo is another direct contact-please be advised that I do have a home life and I do check at the end of school and beginning(along with through the workday)

  • We will eat snacks in the afternoons before dismissal.  Please send in a snack with your child each day. Due to the high amount of allergies, I WILL NOT provide snacks.

  •  Please only send water in water bottles to keep in the class. Water is especially important during the school day. (Students can only have juice at lunch or during snack time.)

  • Currently, we are not using Seesaw or Google Classroom.
