All About Mrs. Patterson

My name is Kyleigh Patterson and I will be your child's second-grade teacher this year. This will be my 8th year teaching second grade. I truly love teaching second grade. I grew up in the Benhaven community. My husband's name is Justin and we have a daughter named Oaklynn who is one. We have three fur babies: Daisy Mae, Buddy, and Bella. I attended Benhaven for third, fourth, and fifth grade. I come from a big family and I am the youngest of four siblings. I knew I wanted to become a teacher before I started Kindergarten. No one in my family has ever taught, so I am a first-generation teacher. It is my passion to help students learn and have fun while learning. We are going to have a great year together! Benhaven is the best!

My Education

I graduated from Western Harnett High School in 2009. I attended Central Carolina Community College and received my Associate in Arts degree in May of 2012. Then, I transferred to Fayetteville State University where I majored in Elementary Education and Special Education. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 2015.
