I am super excited to be your child's teacher this year! While this is my third year at Benhaven, it is my twenty-first year in the public education field.  I spent seventeen years as an instructional assistant and bus driver at an elementary school in Lee County.  I have worked in kindergarten, first, and second grades. 7 years ago, after watching my daughter teach for the first time, I decided I wanted to teach, so I went back to school, while I continued to work, and obtained my Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Appalachian State University and began my teaching career in a Pre-K classroom at Warren Williams School in Sanford.  I love working with children. I am married with a daughter who lives in South Carolina.  I am a “grammy” to a wonderful grandson.  I am looking forward to working with your children and watching them grow and learn!
