Hello 3rd Grade Families, 

My name is Tecoyia Smith and I am so excited to start my 13th year teaching!! I’ve taught 3rd grade for 11 years and 4th grade for 1 year.

I am a Harnett County native, and have attended Harnett County Schools from kindergarten to my senior year in high school, where I graduated from Western Harnett High in 2004. I used to be a Benhaven Bulldog when I was in grades 3-5. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work from Fayetteville State University in 2009. I later went back to obtain my elementary education licensure, and completed that program in 2011. I have a work-at-home part time job as a reservationist with Hilton hotels and resorts. This summer was my 8 year work anniversary with them. I enjoy the perks, benefits, and most of all...the travel!! 

I am very excited to have your child in my class this year, and I always refer to my classes as “family”. I hold high expectations for my students and together, we will help your child be successful.
