Mrs. Cheri Stubbs

Hello! My name is Cheri Stubbs. I am excited to be a first grade teacher at Benhaven Elementary. I have been at Benhaven now for 12 years. I am married and have a 17 year old daughter who attended Benhaven from Kindergarten through 5th grade. She is currently a senior at Western Harnett High School. We are happy to call this area home. We have two fluffy bundles of joy who provide us with endless entertainment as we get home everyday, our Maltipoos, Cinnamon and Sugar.
I have been teaching for more than 25 years. Before coming to NC, I taught in Georgia for many years. That is where I am originally from and our extended family is still there, so we visit often. I attended Georgia College and State University for both my bachelor's and master's degrees.
I have taught several grade levels through the years. First grade is one of my favorites! I am excited to be back in first grade after several years in a different role as a Literacy teacher to increase reading successes for students. I absolutely love working with students and seeing growth and self confidence. I enjoy working to help students become successful lifelong learners.
If you have questions or concerns I would be more than happy to help you any way I can. Please feel free to contact me if I can ever help in any way!
