Hello Boone Trail Pioneers! My name is Angel Myatt and I am excited to continue my journey as principal at BTES. As the principal and a former student and parent, I am eager to partner with all of you to do what is best for the Pioneer Community.

I am a long-time employee of Harnett County Schools with twenty years of service in various educational roles. I started my career as a teacher assistant and bus driver, taught 2nd and 3rd grade and, in recent years, have served as an assistant principal. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters in School Administration. 

Quality instruction is at the core of everything that I believe about education. I understand the importance of promoting a collaborative learning environment with high expectations and positive relationships that support academic, social, and emotional growth. I look forward to working with the school community to ensure that the needs of every student are met this school year.

I grew up in and around the Coats area and I am a Triton High School graduate.  I attended Johnston Community College with an Associate in Arts degree.  I then transferred to Campbell University where I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Masters in Elementary Education, a Masters in School Administration, and a certification for Academically and Intellectually Gifted students K-12.  I have worked for Harnett County Schools for 18 years.  I spent 8 years teaching elementary students, 8 years teaching middle schools students, and I am in my third year as an administrator.  I have enjoyed every year that I served our students in Harnett County and I look forward to continuing my passion of working with and supporting the wonderful people in public education.
