Mrs. Teresa Chitwood
Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Chitwood's Technology Class Page!
I'm so happy to be at Boone Trail Elementary. I graduated from Gaston College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and have been doing what I love ever since. I worked at Gaston County Schools for over 16 1/2 yrs., teaching technology. My family moved to Harnett County in 2015. Teaching children technology is what I really love to do. Seeing how excited they are about learning something new is something you can't always put into words. Not only do I make a difference in their lives, they make a difference in mine. I have absolutely the BEST job in the world.
When I'm not teaching I love spending time with my amazing husband of 23 yrs. Robbie is a Military Veteran of the Army. We have a wonderful 21-year-old son, Cody, who graduated from Overhill's High School. My hobbies are working outside in my yard, camping, going to the beach with my family, and watching movies. I have 2 wonderful fur babies, Lola my Yorkie, and Marley, my Miniature Schnauzer.
I am so excited to see what this year has to offer!

Mission & Vision Statement
The Mission of the Boone Trail Counseling Department is to assist every student in aquiring skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to become goal-oriented students, responsible citizens, productive workers, and lifelong learners on a global society.
The Vision of the School Counseling Department at Boone Trail Elementary focuses on meeting the academic, cognitive, developmental, and social needs of our students. K-5 students participate in regular classroom guidance lessons as well as individual and small group counseling sessions as needed.
